I applied for and was chosen to paint one of four 400 pound hearts to auction off for the SFGH Heart foundation benefiting the hospital. I chose to paint fortune cookies and the entrance to Chinatown to show support for the AAPI community that had been facing tough times especially during the pandemic. It spent time at the Ferry Building and in Union Square before going to its final home up in Napa.

Anyon Design asked me to collaborate with them and Juniper Books to create two sets of books with SF and Napa images. The Golden Gate Bridge set includes cookbooks to some of my favorite SF restaurants - Tartine, Nopalito, Statebird Provisions, French Laundry, and Benu.

When Cherie Slane called me to see if I would be interested in helping her with her next issue of the Gold Collective, I jumped at the chance. She gave me her top favorite spots and people in SF and together we produced some fun content for her clients and advertisers to enjoy while they flip through the book chock full of talented San Franciscans.

Some parents have a little fun with their elf on the shelf. I had way too much… for years with our elf named Alfie. Every night during the holiday season, I would dress up our elf and often use him to teach our three children about current events or pop culture.
